These Designated Funds…impact specific nonprofits and reflect the interests of the donors. There are no geographic boundaries for Designated Funds, but they must be a 501(c)(3). Nonprofit recipients are determined by donors at the time the endowments are created.
Cross Country at Tippecanoe Fund imo Dave Lightle – 2016 Tipp City High School’s Cross Country Invitational is underwritten by this fund. Dave Lightle’s broad life experiences were imprinted by his entrepreneurial skills, political interests, global view, and linguistics. This translated into a wide-ranging career, which included working as a speechwriter for President Ronald Reagan.
Amy Seibert Kronour Scholarship Fund – 2012 Remembers this teacher of special needs children. This fund assists youth enrolled in the Cuvilly Program of Chaminade Julienne High School, which addresses special needs students’ education.
Lightle Family Fund for Science – 2021 – Supporting young scientists participating in local, district or state science fair competitions is at the heart of this fund, established by Mike and Susan Lightle. Upper Miami Valley STEM Education, Inc., receives income from this fund annually to accomplish this goal.
John & Dorie Springer Family Fund – 2020 – Five organizations dear to the Springer family receive gifts from this fund annually; they are Needy Basket of Southern Miami County, Special Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tipp City EMS and Tipp City Schools’ high school music and science programs. John and Dorie moved to Tipp City in 1965 where they raised their children Tim, Joe, Mark, and Lisa.
